Addressing the world’s most severe crises of food insecurity is critical to accelerating progress to end hunger and malnutrition. On July 12, an IFPRI policy roundtable on “Tackling Famine in the Twenty-First Century” explored how on-the-ground responses to famine are working and what evidence is needed to improve them. A policy brief released alongside the event presents lessons for building resilient food systems to prevent future famines.
